It is no surprise that Shakespeare, the great giver of advice on love, sadness, and emotion, also has some advice to give those who wish to improve their writing skills.
This quote, which comes from Shakespeare’s famous last historical play Henry VIII, appears during the very first scene, as the wise Norfolk gives advice to two others. But while Norfolk spoke of kings and politics, the quote can apply to anyone else as well.
